Relaxation

Saturday’s run was my last hurdle before complete and utter relaxation, which I have been needing since training for White Lake began. Saturday afternoon I read by the pool (and might have dozed off a couple of times), then stuffed myself with ribs Matt smoked for us.

Sunday, we tackled another area that has been neglected for a while now – the house. It got a thorough cleaning, and I finally felt like I could relax at home without the weight of the mess on my shoulders.

As a reward, we got to go to the Omega Runner’s Social, graciously hosted by one of our coaches.

Our wonderful coach, the fastest man on the team, and the proud mother.

Our season is officially over, but the next one is starting up right around the corner!

Wonderful food...some healthy, most not!

We're runners. Beer and food is important.

We all had such a wonderful time together. I am sure our spouses, children, significant others, etc. are sick of having get-togethers where we all talk about nothing but running, how fast we run, runs we did, and what runs we will do, but it never gets old for us.  (And for the record, Matt is pretty wonderful about all the running talk.)

Runners and family.

A couple of our Divas even showed up after racing that morning

Sorry for the lack of a real post, but I am off to yoga tonight, and tomorrow’s post should prove to be…interesting.

Someone thinks highly of himself ;-)

Our three Johns...believe it or not, we're missing one too.

How do you spend your time off? What’s relaxing to you?
